The Week Finley Showed Off & We Finally Slowed Down
Weekly Reflection 04/27• 05/03 2026

Still No Frog Eyes!
**Model-Level Ultrasound Photos & Sid and Brandees Weekly Date Night**
Finley’s second anatomy scan was today (Tuesday) and it went perfectly. They said he is adorable and perfectly healthy. They were able to see the couple of spots they couldn’t see in his brain and heart during the first anatomy scan (this is why I had to go a second time).
Fallon continued to make her jokes about him having frog eyes and frog legs. She’s a turd lol.
I may also reorder his water coloring ultrasound painting because he was bigger for this scan and more cooperative so I got the best ultrasound photo I’ve ever seen. It is a work of art. Look at this, it’s beautiful:

Brandee came over for our weekly movie. We didn’t get to last week. We watched Legally Blonde (Brandee has been dying to) and that movie will never get old. Love it.
Axel cuddled her, Fal was excited to see Auntie Brandee, and she was excited to eat some of the lasagna Jonny made for me before he left. We did a gas station trip down the road for some late night snacks. Fallon slept in my room again, duh.
Jonny is out of town again so…commence the 3rd week-long sleep over!

An Unplanned Show & Tell
**Fallon’s 1st Time Showing Off Her Little Brother**
On Wednesday, Fallon’s teacher asked me to send her photos from the ultrasound because Fallon talks about the ultrasounds and baby Finley nonstop (so cute), so I sent them over and she replied with a photo of Finley’s pictures on the “big screen” in class and all of the kids (no little boys I noticed LOL) looking at his pictures. It is so cute how proud Fallon is already.

It has been a very uneventful week. Since last week was so busy, we have been taking time to recoup. I get tired way too fast. Fallon and I did a short walk Wednesday evening, I’m trying to go every day to get some of my energy back. The iron supplements are working, but I still struggle if I “do too much”. Like eat and breathe. 🙃
The Fruits of Baby’s First Fundraiser
**A Cute School Memory for Fal**
Fallon had been doing her first school fundraiser over the past few weeks. She hit every money milestone (thank you to friends and family <3) and won every prize in the prize tier.
That being said, she got to make a buid-a-bear style stuffie at school. She picked the blue Axolotl to stuff and a unicorn hoodie for it…of course. I’d expect nothing less. She was elated and couldn’t wait to tell me how she won every prize and named her Axolotl Meow-Meow. Just the cutest weirdo ever.
She sent a “thank you, I love you” video to everyone who donated and showed off her new axolotl “baby”.
Jonny got home Friday afternoon and he doesn’t have to go out to Charlotte anymore! Finally!
Did I Forget Something? No Way We Have A Free Saturday…
It’s hard to believe, but no, I didn’t miss anything in my schedule, we just ACTUALLY had a super uneventful Saturday. I couldn’t have asked for more, honestly.
I had a hair appointment (thank goodness, my roots were wild) and then I ran to PetSmart for a kitty leash and clippers.
When I got home, Jonny, Fallon, and I put Axel on his new leash to show out little sheltered, spoiled, kitten the great outdoors. He was nervous, but we think he loved it. He got the zoomies when we took him back inside.
I edited photos, Jonny just enjoyed being back home, Fallon relaxed and colored and played some games. It was a much needed weekend off. Later in the evening I ran to TJ Maxx & Target with my sister. The usual lol.

There’s no crying in baseball!
**Our Little Reading All-Star**
Sunday was the first Reading All-Star Celebration game day at one of our local Minor League Baseball stadiums.
Of course Fallon is a Reading All-Star (that baby reads better than me lol), so she won her ticket for free and we chose to go on the 3rd. It was a great choice because the weather was PERFECTION. Jonny, CC, Pops, and I all went to the game to support our turkey. She got to walk with the parade onto the field, she got her free baseball hat and got to pick a book at their little book fair, and she played on the playground that’s in the stadium.
We didn’t make it through the whole game before she got bored and wanted to leave, but we didn’t expect to make it. She had a really good time and when we were in the ice cream line and CC had gone to the restroom, it was just her and I, she said “I can’t believe I made it here”. Ugh, cuteness overload. Of course she made it there! She has no idea how smart she is.
The 2 of us fell asleep on the car ride home (luckily my parents drove so we could relax after a long day) and the night was slow from there. She knocked out quick in bed and I finished Allye’s maternity photoshoots…which…holy cow…might be my favorite family shoot I’ve done since I started photography. I’ll add some photos to my portfolio, but there will also be some in next weeks photography article too. I am pretty proud of myself for these ones.

Sunday Side Note:
Fallon had some weird spots on her forehead during the day and I kept thinking they were scratches (from Axel and she had bumped her head on Saturday), however, I noticed one on her ear at the baseball game and told my parents I think it’s ringworm…turns out it is. So that has been a good time. Rubbing her down in ringworm lotion and keeping the new spots covered. Her pediatrician appointment is on Monday, she obviously can’t go to school for a few days and now I think we definitely need to get Axel to the vet. It has felt like one thing after another lately.
Luckily, ringworm looks freaky, but it’s not a big deal at all. Not even for me while being pregnant. There’s the silver-lining.
Until next week!
- Weekly Highlight: Finley’s anatomy scan & Fallon’s fundraiser reward day
- Weekly Rating: 9/10. Jonny got to come home (and stay home), Fallon had such an exciting week, Finley’s ultrasound was so good, andddd I finished a gallery. If it weren’t for the ringworm, we’d have a 10/10 here.
- Goal Progress? Yes, progress was made towards my goals this week. I’ve been working very hard on my blog and photography.
